Product catalogue = A list of a company's products. Product catalog = Al list of a company's products. Product mix = A company's products considered together and in relation to one another. Product portfolio = A company's products considered together and in relation to one another. Product line = A company's products of a particular type. Product range = A company's products of a particular type. Product lifecycle = The stages in the life of a product and the number of people who buy it at each stage. Product positioning = How a product is seen, or how a company would like it to be seen, in relation to its other products and/or to competing products. Product placement = When a company pays for its products to be used or seen in films and TV programmes. Goods = Materials and components used to make products. Raw materials = Basic materials from which other things are made. Finished goods = Products ready to be sold. Industrial goods = Goods that are bought by other companies for use in their activities and products. Consumer goods = Are bought by individuals for their own use. Consumer durables = Consumer goods that last a long time. Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) = Consumer goods such as food products that sell in large quantities. Brand/brand name = A name companies gives to its products. Make = The companies name for a product. Model = The name of a particular product. Make+model = Ford Ka, Sony vaio, Canon Ixus. Brand awareness = The degree to which people know a particular brand. Brand recognition = The degree to which people know a particular brand. Brand image = All the ideas people have about a particular brand. Brand manager = Someone who is in charge someone who is in charge of the marketing of goods or services with a particular brand. Branding = Creating brands and keeping them in customers' minds through advertising, product and package design, and so on. Brand identity = The identity of a brand. not branded = Products without a manufacturer's brand name. Generic products/generics = Products without a brand name. Own-brand product = A product that is sold by a retailer with its own name. Own-label product/ store brand = A product that is sold by a retailer with its own name.
