Finance = Money provided or lent for a particular purpose. Finance = The management of money by countries, organizations or people. Finance = The study of money management. Financial problems = Money problems, a company with money problems has.... problems. High finance = Involves very large amounts of money used bu governments and large companies. A person's finances = Are the money they have and how it is managed. Financial = De adjective related to finance. Economics = The study of the way which money works and how it is used. Economics = Calculations of whether a particular business activity will be profitable or not. Economic = A profitable activity. Uneconomic = An unprofitable activity. Economic problems = A government with money problems. Inflation = Rising prices. Inflation rate = The rate which prices are rising. Inflationary = Adjective related to inflation. Unemployed = People without jobs. Level of unemployment = The number of people without a job. Out of work = Unemployed people are.... Jobless = People out of work. The jobless = People out of work. Labour shortages = When there are not enough people available to work. Balance of payments = The difference between the money coming in and going out of a country. Trade balance = The difference between payments for imports and the payments for exports. Trade surplus = When a country exports more than it imports. Trade deficit = WHen a country imports more than it exports. Trade gap = The amount of this surplus of trade deficit. Widens = When the gap gets bigger. Narrows = When the gap gets smaller. Economic output = The value of goods and services produced in a country or area. GDP = Gross domestic product. GDP per capita = The total output of a particular country divided by the number of people living there. GNP = Gross National Product. Growth = When output in the economy increases Growth rate = The speed at which a country's economy grows and gets bigger.
