a customer = a person or organization that buys things a client= a person or organization that buys the services of professionals a customer / client base = a group of (potential) buyers clientele = people who buy a company’s or a professional’s products or services (especially expensive or exclusive ones) a user = a person who uses products or services (not necessarily the buyer) an end-user = a person who uses products or services, particularly computer equipment and other technology (not necessarily the buyer) a consumer = someone buying goods/services for his/her own use a buyer/purchaser = a person or organization that buys something a buying / purchasing manager = a person in a company responsible for buying goods that it uses or sells an industrial buyer= an organization that buys things for producing its own goods/services a seller = a person or organization that sells something a vendor =a person or organization that sells something (for example property) a street vendor= a person selling something in the street a vending machine= a machine from which you can buy coffee, cigarettes etc. the market = place (real or imaginary) where buyers and sellers meet the free market = an economic system depending on what people want to buy and what they’re willing to pay market economy = an economic system depending on what people want to buy and what they’re willing to pay market pressures / forces = the way a market economy makes sellers produce what people want to buy, at prices they are willing to pay marketplace = producers and buyers and the way they behave in a certain market economy market prices = prices people are willing to pay (not fixed by the government) market reforms = changes to the economy by a government to make it more of a market economy
